AWS Community Globe is an interactive experience I built to help people explore the AWS community more visually. Instead of relying on scattered directories and separate pages, the project brings AWS Community Heroes, Community Builders, User Groups, and Cloud Clubs into one place through a globe and map-based interface.

- Built an interactive world experience for exploring AWS Community Heroes, Community Builders, User Groups, and Cloud Clubs.
- Implemented country and tag filters to make community discovery easier and more relevant.
- Created multiple viewing modes including a classic 3D globe, a sleek globe, and a flat map experience.
- Added profile card interactions and spotlight controls to help users jump through visible community members and groups.
- Developed supporting Node.js scripts for scraping, geocoding, and preparing community data.
The Problem to Solve
AWS community discovery often happens across multiple pages, directories, and platforms. While the information exists, it is not always easy to explore how broad, active, and connected the AWS ecosystem is across countries and regions.
Our Solution
I designed AWS Community Globe as a more intuitive and interactive way to browse the community. Users can explore AWS Community Heroes, Community Builders, User Groups, and Cloud Clubs, filter by country and tag, and switch between classic globe, sleek globe, and flat map views to better discover people and communities worldwide.
